Chris finished, ta-da:

and here’s the latecomer Jan’s efforts so far – 3 sessions and she’s already stitching:

she’s only here on holidays (came into the shop to get some Christmas sewing supplies & saw my quilts and decided to join us) so she’s keeping it pretty simple. She’s a quick study, it’s great.

I’m behind all over the place, trying to catch up. I don’t do juggling very well at all, I’m afraid.
of the Thursday group, Chris has almost finished and Karen is nearly ready to start quilting (she missed a few sessions). I’ve got a new lady who’s only had two sessions and is fairly galloping ahead, but I haven’t got any photos yet.
< -- Joyce has finished hers.
From the Saturday group, Sandra’s well into the quilting:

and Margaret is ready to (part) bag and start quilting:

Last Wednesday the balcony gang (my mum and four of our friends) came over for the day & started their birds. We used to meet fortnightly to experiment with different stuff, but between people going away and getting sick and winter and stuff it’s been months. Cheeky buggers gave me such a hard time.

… for a while, at least. Joy finished quilting her cushion cover and is very happy with herself. She was dubious about filling the background with little freehand leaves and scribbling in the negative spaces in the border, but it looks great. I’m looking forward to seeing it made up.
Chris is very close to done too. She’s chuffed enough to want to start another one using her dogs as subjects once this one’s done.

I haven’t done anything interesting the last few days. We went to Port and had lunch in the waterside park today, and met some very friendly birdlife. Friendly, but a bit intimidating when they’re comin right atcha and are taller than you because you’ve sat on the ground to take pics (image messed with in PP because it was impossibly dark) …

unless you’re el (for whom I suppose stuff Being Bigger is a fact of life and therefore not inherently scary):
